2025 Wild Game Harvesting Course

This offering of The Wild Game Harvesting and Home Butchery Course is a fully immersive and interactive experience designed to share over 20 years of skill development in wild game harvesting, meat preparation, and cooking through the life experience of Grant and myself. This day will be jam-packed with everything you need to know from skinning to cooking. Only 6 spots available per course, keeping it small to create an intimate and rewarding learning experience. Unlike previous years which have been held on farmland, this year the courses will be set at my home, a residential half an acre block. This will create an opportunity to focus on home butchery and how to set up your home to live off wild meat in the most space, energy, and time-efficient way. The cause will be held in Batemans Bay.  

All food is cooked up and provided (as a gift) throughout the day!

On the completion of this course, you will leave with new friends, a deeper understanding, and a strong skill set required to grow and develop your meat harvesting passion. Enabling you to be a more resourceful and sustainable hunter/food harvester.

Due to the time investment that goes into hunting the animals, and producing them on the day, no refund can be offered for your ticket. Instead, we can provide you with an exchange for another date if you cannot attend the one you book. At least 3 weeks notice must be given. Thanks for understanding.

Great day preparing and feasting.

Six of us got together and did the game harvesting course and we’re all super impressed how the day went. While most of us had prepared wild game for the table before, Grant’s guidance and tips were top notch and we all learned something, even the most experienced hunters. And all the while, Andrew was cooking up culinary delights and we grazed like kings all day! The hands on approach was an ideal learning environment and I highly recommend the course - perfect for beginner hunters, novices and experts. Thanks so much.

Hunt to plate

Having a strong cooking background I was surprised how much I learnt about how best to prepare the venison. However the where I I really gained important knowledge was how to go from freshly shot game in the field to cuts of meat in the fridge. I still have a long way to go but at least now I have somewhere to start. Grant and Andy know their stuff what they teach in a day would take months to figure out by yourself and the food was great and plentiful. If you plan on harvesting game and cooking it for yourself and loved ones this course is not recommend, it is vital.

Great game harvesting course

I recently did the one day game harvesting course with five mates. Andrew and Grant were excellent hosts and knew their subject matter intimately. As someone who has hunted game in Australia for 30 years, I learnt a great deal about the various cuts of venison and just as importantly, how to best cook each cut. This course is great for a beginner or an experienced hunter wanting to improve their field harvesting/cooking skills with hands on instructional teaching. Plus you get to take home samples of venison cuts to cook up. Book this with some friends. You won’t be disappointed.
